A spiking sub-circuit of the fruit-fly connectome runs in WGSL compute shaders and drives a NeuroMechFly body. Left panel: live firing rates and a spike raster.
Watch for grooming: when the fly stops, it cleans its eyes with the front legs or sweeps its abdomen with the hind pair, and it holds still until something interrupts it.
Several flies (experimental) are on a page of their own.
The outline is the MaleCNS template brain. In MaleCNS style the brain is packed with context cells, drawn the way the FlyEM renders are; they are scenery, not simulated. The circuit's own cells are drawn over them and flash when they spike. Circuit style shows only the simulated cells inside a glass outline. Drag on the brain half to orbit it.
